  1. What if I miss an assignment?
  2. What if I miss a quiz?
  3. Why are we reading all these things in this Engineering course?

I will update this as questions come in and I’m able to consider scenarios on my own/remember things that have come up in the past.

What if I miss an assignment?

A: We have a policy with growth in mind (that is bounded by the realities of us being human!) See the assignments section in syllabus for more info.

What if I miss a quiz?

A: We have what I think is a fairly flexible quiz policy that should catch all issues outside of more extreme extenuating circumstances. It’s built so that you don’t feel the need to justify being human to me (with, still, being bounded to acknowledge the goal of learning in the course.) See the assignments section in syllabus for more info.

Why are we reading all these things in this Engineering course?

A: Because there is theory and a model of the world in everything we do? Many readings are meant to have you put a lens on the world and the theory guiding human behavior (and constructions of humanity guiding such behavior) so we can think through that in relation to technological systems! We build artifacts (systems, processes, etc. whether computing or not), so I am giving you some theory of that artifact building and the world (environment) in which those artifacts are built.
